Humanities Grants

Humanities Grants connect people with ideas, places, or history. These grants support projects that engage the out-of-school, general public with the humanities.
Past humanities grants have supported:
- Lecture series
- Forums where public issues can be discussed from historical and philosophical perspectives
- Book discussions
- Film discussions
- Interpretive museum exhibitions, conferences
- Media projects.
What is the amount of the grant award?

Major Humanities Grants are awards of up to $10,000. These are more extensive projects and are reviewed three times each year in a competitive review process.

Mini Humanities Grants are awards of up to $3,500, are smaller in scope and reviewed year-round
