Prime Time Family Reading Time
Prime
Time Family Reading Time is a six-week reading, discussion,
and storytelling series for low-level adult readers and their school-aged
children. The program models and encourages family reading and discussion
of humanities topics, and aids parents and children in selecting
books and becoming active public library users. It is intended to
help low-income, low-literate families. Programs are offered in
English with opportunitites for English with Spanish translation.
All programs are free and open to the public.
KHC is supporting four Prime Time Family Reading Time
programs during the Fall of 2008 in the following communities:
- Wichita Public Library, September 9-October
14.
- Olathe Public Library, September 18-October
23.
- Winfield Public Library, October 9-November
13.
Prime Time Family Reading Time:

reading ability.
* Introduces participants to different types of children’s
literature.
