Welcome
The Kansas Humanities Council creates, sponsors, and promotes humanities
programs across Kansas. Through the humanities history, literature,
philosophy, and related areas we gain understanding of where
we've been, who we are, and what
we've valued over time and across generations.
Kansas 150 Website Available
On January 29, 2011, Kansas will commemorate 150 years
of statehood. Visit www.ks150.org,
to find ways to get involved during the sesquicentennial year. The
website is sponsored by the Kansas 150 Advisory Committee.
Statehood Speakers Bureau Available
The Kansas Humanities Council's Kansas 150 Speakers
Bureau features presentations and discussions about Kansas - our
people, hopes, and dreams. Available now through 2011, these stories
offer insight into what it means to be a Kansan over time and across
generations. In-state Kansas non-profits may book one free program
in 2010, as funding allows. Click
