2010 Grant Guidelines

Heritage Grants

Heritage grants support projects that preserve local history and encourage local historical organizations to plan their own future. Heritage grant projects include oral history, research, cataloging, care of collections, strategic planning, board training, website development, photograph digitization, or the creation of guided tours or audio podcasts.

Humanities Grants

Humanities grants connect people to the ideas, places, and history of the past and invite ideas about the next 150 years. Humanities grant projects include lecture series, forums, book discussions, film discussions, interpretive museum exhibitions, panel discussions, and media projects.

Short Film Grants

Kansas 150 Short Film grants are available for in-state professional filmmakers in support of short films (under 15 minutes) telling a Kansas story. Each short film project will be a snapshot of life in Kansas today and/or in the past.
