Contact Your Legislator

The Kansas Humanities Council supports and creates public humanities programs for all Kansans. We strongly encourage all KHC project directors and grant awardees to inform their legislators about their projects.

In your letter we suggest you:

• explain the significance of the project to your community
• thank the legislators for recognizing the importance of humanities programming
• ask for their continued support of KHC

Special invitations to legislators and their staff to speakers bureau programs, exhibit openings, town hall meetings, and other public programs are also appreciated.

Because of heightened security measures in and arouund our nation's capitol, regular mail delivery can be delayed. KHC encourages project directors to fax their corresondence to the congressional delegation.

Please remember to send us a copy of all correspondence to your legislators and congressmen regarding KHC projects!
