Board Orientation

New KHC board members are invited to an orientation meeting conducted by Council members and staff. They learn more about the Council's goals and priorities, conduct a mock proposal review, and receive a Board Notebook, a comprehensive overview of KHC history, policies, and board responsibilities.

Each year selected board members attend the annual meeting of the Federation of State Humanities Councils, the membership association formed by the 56 state and territorial councils affiliated with the National Endowment for the Humanities.
