Silver Lake Library Receives KHC Grant

TOPEKA – The Kansas Humanities Council awarded $2,500 to
the Silver Lake Library in support of Christmas with Laura
Ingalls Wilder.
Humanities scholar Betty Jean Steinshouer brings her first-person
interpretation of Laura Ingalls Wilder and the "Little House"
Christmas memories to ten Kansas libraries, including Atchison,
Cimarron, Emporia, Hays, Independence, Lawrence, Paola, Salina,
Silver Lake, and Syracuse.
Erica Riley, library director, serves as the project director. For

A non-profit cultural organization with 34 years experience, the
Kansas Humanities Council conducts and supports community-based
programs, serves as a financial resource through an active grantmaking
program, and encourages Kansans to participate in their communities.
