TOPEKA – The Kansas Humanities Council awarded $2,000 to the Institute for Civic Discourse and Democracy at Kansas State University in support of Democracy Dialogs 2006: Freedom of Information: Principles, Laws, and Citizen Use.

Democracy Dialogs is a series of facilitated public discussions on freedom of information. The public dialogues will occur in four public libraries in Kansas: Manhattan Public Library, Pioneer Memorial Library in Colby, Dorothy Bramlage Public Library in Junction City, and the West Wyandotte branch of the Kansas City Kansas Public Library. Programs begin in September, 2006.
